Tom Hanley Guitar Instructor

Tom Hanley has been teaching and performing professionally as a guitarist, singer and songwriter for over a decade in the Great Toronto Area. After completing his Bachelors degree in contemporary music from Humber College and graduating with honours, Tom has become a highly sought-after professional musician and educator. He teaches a wide breadth of instruments including guitar, bass, piano and voice in a diverse span of styles, such as Jazz, Pop, Rock and more. His goal as an educator is to inspire musicians of all ages to be creative, and help them achieve their full potential while having a lot of fun.

In Tom’s lessons, he covers music rudiments such as sight-reading, theory, harmony, performance, technique, studio production, building repertoire, and ear training. His specialty as an educator is finding ways to engage his students in absorbing these skills through musical styles that they are most interested in.

Besides being a private music instructor, Tom has also taught at a number of reputable music schools, including Branksome Hall in Toronto, Addison Music Centre in Oakville and Musician’s Choice in Brampton.
